Moons wax and wane as the cycle inevitably continues. So does one’s body change with age. Naji has found it troublesome to accept some changes and easier to accept others. Now, by no means is Naji ancient in age or anything, rather, she can realize the loss of her youth as she has entered into her late twenties. In addition to her ‘chronic sickness’, plenty of things have changed in her body that didn’t used to exist just a few years prior.Naji still stands at what she believes to be an average height for a female miqo’te, perhaps a hair shorter than that. As of her recent travels her sun-kissed tan has become more prominent as she’s lingered longer underneath the sun’s rays. The seeker’s skin sports a litter of new ink tattoo’s as a form of expression in addition to hiding the many battle scars she’s gotten over the recent years. But one that hasn’t changed is the crimson tribal tattoo sported on her face. Her muscles are more defined these days due to the constant pressure and usage they undergo. In general the Seeker has adopted a more stockier frame and fuller build these days as opposed to the lithe frame of her youth.Naji’s onyx colored hair has grown even longer over the years. Though instead of her signature crimson highlights the color has faded to a pale white. No matter how much she tries to keep the color from fading it does so even quicker than average so she’s just opted to leave it as it is for now. (After all she’s aware the source is related to her sickness.) Her eyes are still her signature pale blue, though people have reported to her several times they’ve encountered her with eyes a glow a stark golden hue but this doesn’t happen often. (A/N: This is linked to her voidsent problem.)K’naji’s sense of style has shifted a bit these days. In times of comfort she still prefers light and airy clothing that is easy to move in. (The less the better sometimes) Though nowadays she wears a bit more armor in combat. She still prefers breathable leather and to others she can still be skimpily clad, but it's certainly more than what she used to wear in the days of her youth.Due to her ‘chronic sickness’ she still looks sick if one takes a closer look. (But lately she doesn’t let many get that close.) Dark circles can be seen as a constant for her due to the lack of sleep she gets. There’s times when she looks so pale she could fade away sometimes. Naji finds herself easily fatigued these days. Always sporting numerous handkerchiefs for those bloody coughing fits. But for the most part she carries on doing her best to hide her sickness from obvious view.

Personality

These days the Seeker has a bit of an ‘attitude’ or ‘temper’ problem, to say the least. (A/N: Directly correlates to her voidsent issue.) She does her best to keep it in check but there are times when her crash-outs are undeserved and released upon the innocent. As a way to mitigate this she attempts to distance herself from others. Preferring a life of solitude as opposed to the days of her youth being surrounded by others.Even more than before she finds herself becoming an observer as opposed to her former socialite self. Due to her grating sickness issue she finds herself no longer opting for flowery words of charisma and instead prioritizing a blunt honesty.Yet despite her efforts to remove herself from the company of others she still manages to find a few friends here and there. (Some old, some new.) Naji is still Naji at heart. No matter how much the ‘beast’ attempts to change that. She still has a just and kind heart, still stands ten toes down on her beliefs, and still unapologetically says what’s on her mind. She’s no longer blissfully ignorant of the world. Rather she’s become quite the seasoned individual who has weathered many hardships and storms. You can see it in her gaze and how she carries herself with confidence. She’s lived through some shit but came out all the more wiser for it.

Relationships

Xavih’li Nankhu: (Brother - Deceased) Naji’s foster brother who was rescued by her and her mother when they were both young kits. Naji and Xavih were as thick as thieves despite the stark difference in their race. He, a Keeper of the Moon and she, a Seeker of the Sun. (Naji and her mother were more liberal thinking than most in their tribe.) Blood never mattered to them for he was her brother and she was his sister. They looked out for each other like family would and Naji’s mother, K’nera, loved them both equally. Due to an unfortunate accident after the death of their mother, Naji and Xavih’li were forced to leave the tribe for good. They took that time to explore Eorzea while having little to their name. Xavih’li took up trade while Naji handled hunting. It wasn’t easy but they built themselves up from the ground up. Years later Xavih’li perished due to voidsent. Losing her best friend, her only family left, wasn’t something she was prepared for but she made it through. Instead opting to cherish the memories and moments they shared.K'tribe: Otherwise known as Hipparion Tribe, located in (Sagolii Desert, Southern Thanalan), is still around but her parents, however, are deceased. So there's nothing 'home' left there for her anymore.Blackmoon Coven: Many moons ago Naji was introduced to the Coven when she was still a part of the Nswala Clan. While there she formed a bond with the Tha'alanti and her Witchguard. Now, many moons later she makes a return to the Coven as an Acolyte willing to take up the mantle of sisterhood.Sino'a Njaka: Naji’s bond with Sino’a is…difficult to put into words. If it wasn’t for Sino’a, Naji wouldn’t be the woman she is today. He taught her a great many things and she’s so thankful for him. Their history is littered with glorious triumphs and tumultuous tribulations but Naji has nothing but the highest praise and respect for Sino’a. Whether she knows it or not, his presence is still one she can’t imagine missing in her life anymore. He’s a precious and dear friend.Lhiryl Kaylune & Rinda'li Shalo: A Witch and her Witch-guard. Naji met them back when she was still a member of clan Nswala. At the time she had just wanted to learn how to control these 'magical outbursts' she was having but from there she ended up developing a close relationship with the pair. Lhiryl took interest in her and brought her under her wing for personal studies. Naji learned quite a lot from her while spending her days with the Coven. She owes both the Tha'alanti and Rinda’li her life. She considers them family at this point.

History

Years past it was discovered that Naji was losing access to her aetherial powers. This came as a great shock to her, who was at the time, studying arcane magic under the Tha'alanti of the Blackmoon Coven. Imagine her greater surprise to learn that it was due to a voidsent within her that was siphoning off her powers.Naji’s grudge with voidsent runs deep. Almost as deep as her grudge against blood magic. (A/N: Which is quite interesting considering her willingness to learn the very same blood magic that caused her such grief. But that’s a story for another time.) The voidsent had been linked to her since that ritual that she was caught in when she had been captured by the Vulture Cultist. It had remained dormant until she had begun to grow in arcane capabilities, now making itself known like the hungry parasite it was.Due to the unfortunate timing of everything, the Tha'alanti was no longer around for Naji to source information from. So instead, she took it upon herself to travel the world searching for a way to rid herself of this troublesome parasite once and for all. Those early days quickly melted away into years before her eyes. Yet she was still no closer to ridding herself of this monstrosity. If anything, the voidsent was only growing more and more powerful by the day while zapping the very life from her marrow. From the marbled halls of Sharlayan to the Far East, Naji traveled wherever her feet or information led her. She studied, bled, cried, and fought her way through every trial that was thrown her way but she was still dying. She experienced plenty while on her travels, met many people and forged trusted bonds. But after years of constant pressure, she knew her body could no longer keep up with her endeavors…Read Naji's previous history HERE.

Current Story

Naji’s body is no longer able to keep up with her strenuous exploits. Not to mention, the voidsent is getting stronger with each passing day. She’s tried every notable fix under the sun, even the obscure ones, but none of them have worked. So, she decided if she was going to die anyway she at least wanted to die in native lands. So she packed her things and made the trek home. It was there she ran into a familiar face she hadn’t expected to see. With potential hope for a cure on the horizon she finds herself mustering up the last of her strength to deal with this voidsent problem once and for all. After all, time is running out.

Miscellaneous Information

» Likes: Alcohol, The Color Red, Sex, Singing, Sweets, Fighting, Dancing
» Dislikes: Bad Smells, People that threaten her family/peace, Bland food, Voidsent,
» Magic & Combat: The Bow and Arrow was Naji's first weapon of choice and is always something she relies on when she's down and out. After being trained in the arcane arts she drifted more towards black magic (even in some cases blood magic). However now, she doesn't have access to her arcane powers and now finds herself mastering another unique form of fighting (Reaper)» Occupation (Explained): On paper, Naji is a hunter. A premium member of the Crystal Coeurls (one of the bigger hunting companies/alliances located in Eorzea) She's successfully lead her own company and other's in many Hunting Expeditions. Usually sanctioned by the Grand Companies of Eorzea The Crystal Coeurls help take down nasty A rank and even S rank hunts for gil. When she's not doing that she's a member of the Blackmoon Coven run by the Witch Lyrah Kaylune and her Witch-guard Rinda'li Shalo. She works as an apprentice to Lyrah and is classified as coven acolyte.

Plot Hooks:» The Hipparion Tribe: Naji is from the K’ Tribe herself so if you or anyone else wants to connect with someone over common ground then Naji would love to get to know you.» Voidsent: Voidsent has been a thorn in her side for as long as she can remember. Voidsent were the cause of her brother dying and now it's killing her (though she doesn’t make that public knowledge.) If your character has any information to share on voidsent she’d love to hear it and learn from them.»** Blood Magic:** Another thorn in her side since as long as she can remember. Her mother was killed by practitioners of blood magic. She once wanted nothing to do with it but since studying under her arcane arts teacher she has made peace with that demon from her past. Rather, she shifted her perspective. If blood magic can help her track down her mother’s killers then she’d be more than willing to use the medium to become her enemies' worst nightmare. If your character knows about blood magic or practices it, hit Naji up for an interaction!» Bounty Hunting: Naji’s occupation on paper is being a hunter. She’s quite a competent one too. If something or someone needs tracking or killing then she’ll handle it for you at the right price. If you have any ideas feel free to shoot me a /tell in game!
